Once at Lewis & Clark College, I returned home only rarely to press my father’s flesh & taste the nostalgia of my youth. I phoned Dad every 2 weeks. Distrust of unrequited loves was a nasty undercurrent.

Escaping college with NO career plans, I was immediately struck with raw menial survival (making doughnuts & sleeping on the storeroom floor). No carer plan then NOW seems so bizarre.
Eventually, I discovered corporate sales & a few years later, the more rarified Account Executive roles of large LA advertising firms.
Once unleashed, my innate intelligence, imagination, creativity & work ethic drove me unrelentingly upwards while my rental properties did the same financially.
I ignored SIT foreign Travel perhaps because of the loneliness of my free TV dating game trip to Rome without a life-partner. Financial insecurity was always a haunting fear.
